Come celebrate the beginning of the "Yuletide" season by crafting a traditional Yule decor item to use in your own home and celebrations this season.

Yule celebrates the changing of seasons. It happens on the winter solstice, and it celebrates rebirth and renewal. This is because the shortest day and longest night occur on the solstice. Hence, we celebrate the return of the sun.

Some Yule activities include a crafting a Yule log or Yule Wreath.

Traditionally a Yule log is burnt as an emblem of the returning Sun, and the Increase of its Light and Heat.

Wreaths represent the Wheel of the Year and the natural cycle of life and rebirth, which is why they were traditionally made with evergreens. The evergreen boughs are symbols of immortality, reminding us that the Sun King is not dead, but reappears at Yule each year to lengthen, brighten and warm the days ahead.

You will get to craft either a Yule log with battery operated tealight candles included (but you can always replace them with real ones at home), or a Yule wreath to offer protection and

Festive tiding to your home this Yuletide season.

All tools and supplies are included in the price of this activity and we will provide some small refreshments as well.
