  • Sun, March 07, 2021
  • 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
  • FMALC

Join the Red River Rope group at the FMALC for March's Rope Study.

We will get our hands on some rope, and learn a bit about the rope itself.

Rope

Different types of rope materials often used for bondage (and some non-rope bondage materials).

Variety of rope diameters, and what they are best suited for.

Common rope hank lengths, and how to know when to use an uncommon length.

Where to purchase, and how much you should spend.

Caring for your rope.

How to complete your rope kit.

Expectations

One does not need to have prior rope or other BDSM experience to attend this event.

One does not need to be a vetted member of the Red River Rope event to attend this event.

This cost for this event is $5.

Bondage materials will be displayed and handled at this event. If this is a potential trigger for you, this may not be the event for you.

No actual tying will occur at this event. The things learned at Rope Study Sessions will help improve one's experience at vetted Rope Lab sessions.

Additional Pandemic Expectations:

Please do not attend if you are exhibiting symptoms, being tested for, or have tested positive for COVID19.

As a standard, do not come into contact with others without their clear and enthusiastic consent. This includes shaking hands, hugging, and entering into people's 6ft radius.

While the goal is always to maintain discretion and confidentiality, the host of this event cannot ensure everyone's absolute privacy. Choosing which events fall within your own risk profile is a decision that can be made only by you.

Rope Study sessions are a great opportunity for newcomers to the group to meet other members and to work towards becoming vetted into the group.

Rope Study sessions hosted by the Red River Rope group are open to anyone 18 years of age or older that has the desire to learn more about rope bondage. All skill and experience levels are welcome.

The education that occurs at Rope Study sessions is primarily classroom-style, with a strong emphasis on group discussion.

Attending a Rope Study Session is one way to progress towards becoming vetted in the group, which is required to attend the next level of the education, Rope **Lab** sessions, where hands-on tying will occur. No tying occurs at Rope **Study** sessions.

For more information about becoming vetted into the group, check out the [About & Rules](https://fetlife.com/groups/164180/about) of the Red River Rope group.
