  • One does not need to be a vetted member of the Red River Rope event to attend this event.
  • One does not need to be a Verified Attendee of the FMALC to attend this event. (Learn more here.)
  • One does need to sign the venue's Release of Liability and the Admittance and Participation Agreement, which can take place at the beginning of the event.
  • Cost of event is $5.00 per person.

Discussion of rope and shibari will occur only when the doors are closed. While the goal is always to maintain discretion and confidentiality, the hosts of this event cannot ensure everyone's privacy. Choosing which events fall within your own risk profile is a decision that can be made only by you.

Rope Study sessions are a great opportunity for newcomers to the group to meet other members and to work towards becoming vetted into the group. Rope Study sessions hosted by the Red River Rope group are open to anyone 18 years of age or older that has the desire to learn more about shibari.

All skill and experience levels are welcome. The education that occurs at Rope Study sessions is primarily classroom-style, with a strong emphasis on group discussion. Attending a Rope Study Session is one way to progress towards becoming vetted in the group, which is required to attend the next level of the education, Rope Lab sessions, where hands-on tying will occur. No tying occurs at Rope Study sessions.

For more information about becoming vetted into the group, check out the About & Rules of the Red River Rope group
